New Year’s Eve Outfit Survival Guide

NYE fit survival

What are you doing to bring in 2015? Are your friends having a party? Maybe you got tickets to a New Year’s Eve bash, inclusive of a champagne toast at midnight. Or, you might be like me and have dinner reservations at an amazing restaurant with your PIC. Whatever you’re doing, I have put together a little last minute style inspiration to help you execute a seamless and fun New Year’s Eve outfit. Because let’s be real, we all know the reason we even celebrate New Year’s Eve is for the fashion and champagne.

Sequins

I love any excuse to wear, use or buy sequins. Adding a little sparkle to any outfit is a must in my book. And, what better way to do so than with a simple, yet stunning sequin crop top. There are so many variations of this top out there, its going to be hard to choose just one!  Dailylook, $72.99

Bold Lips

If you’ve been reading my style posts for some time, you know I love a bold lip. It’s so funny because I remember being a teenager thinking how weird lipstick was and that I would never wear it. Now, I buy it almost as much as I drink coffee… well, maybe not THAT much. I drink a lot of coffee… but still. I love it! I may be a little biased, my sister is a makeup genius and MAC makeup artist, but MAC is my fave for finding fun lip colors and pigments. They have so many different looks, shines, mattes, lusters– ah a girls best friend! MAC Cosmetics, $16.00, color pictured is Show Orchid (amplified)

Edgy Heels

Along with sequins, I’m all about that stud (sing in Meghan Trainer beat). These black suede studded heels are a wardrobe must have AND will look great on any dance floor.**Dance floor look, a consideration before purchasing. For an edgy-er look, try pairing them with some leather (as you see above) or, you can even pair them with your favorite black skinnys or distressed boyfriend jeans! Lulu’s, $34.00

The Box Clutch

A statement clutch is just as important to an outfit as your shoes and hair are. Yes, your hair is an accessory! Be sure you have something chic to store your bold lips, ID and confetti in. Side note, how amazing is this Edie Parker box clutch? Ah.. someday I will own many. Edie Parker, $795

Whimsical Hair

I believe less is more. Especially when it comes to hair and makeup. Try this gorgeous messy french twist from Irrelephant. The best part is you won’t have to worry about “messing” (get it-ha!) with it, leaving you more time to dance and sip champagne!

Leather

Wearing textures is a perfect way to dress-up your outfit. Whether its suede, leather, fur, you can achieve a unique, yet classy look with just a few pieces. I’m loving these skater skirts, they are so cute! Lulu’s, $37.00
